Concept site — fictional business. Fieldstone Grounds is a demo by Pocket Funnel. No real reviews, no real customers.

Grounds that look managed — and a bid on your desk in five business days.

You sent the RFP to five contractors. Two won't call back, one bids high to stay busy, and one shows up in an unmarked truck with no COI. We answer, walk the property, and hand you a scope sheet you can put in front of a board.

  • Written bid in five business days, in your format
  • COI and workers' comp certificates before we mobilize
  • Time-stamped service logs — including every salt application
  • One account manager, reachable, who walks the property with you seasonally

For the person scoring bids

What actually arrives when you request a bid

Four things, every time. If a competing bid is missing one of them, that's worth asking about before the board votes.

01

A scope sheet, not a number

Line by line: mowing frequency, bed maintenance, pruning windows, cleanups, and what's explicitly not included.

02

Snow triggers in writing

Trigger depth, priority order for lots and walks, pre-treatment policy, and how per-event billing works.

03

Insurance before we mobilize

COI naming you as additional insured, plus workers' comp. Sent with the bid, not after you ask twice.

04

Service verification

Time-stamped logs and photos by site, so you can answer a board question without calling us.

Twelve months, not seven

Anyone can mow in July. The reason properties switch contractors is usually November — the leaves nobody came back for, or the first ice event at 4am.

Spring

Mar – May

Cleanup, bed edging, mulch, irrigation start-up, first fertilization

Summer

Jun – Aug

Weekly mowing and detail, weed control, shrub pruning, irrigation audits

Fall

Sep – Nov

Aeration and overseeding, leaf removal, final cuts, winterization

Winter

Dec – Mar

Snow and ice: pre-treat, trigger-depth plowing, walks and entries, salt logs

Book a site walk

Free, about 45 minutes, and it ends with a written bid in five business days.

Step 1 of 3
What kind of property?

The site walk

About 45 minutes. We measure turf and bed areas, note the problem spots, photograph the property, and ask what's gone wrong with previous contractors — that last question tells us the most.

  • You're welcome to join, but you don't have to
  • Bid and scope sheet within five business days
  • COI and workers' comp included with the bid
  • Deadline this week? Say so and we'll move the walk up

Prefer email? Send the bid package to bids@fieldstonegrounds.example and we'll confirm the same business day.

Thursday, 4:50pm

The RFP goes to five contractors. Two answer.

Commercial work is won on responsiveness before it's won on price. Our front desk answers, takes the scope and the deadline, and books the walk while the manager is still at their desk.

Questions managers ask

How fast can you turn a bid around?+

Five business days from the site walk, usually less. If your board meets sooner, tell us in the request and we'll move the walk up — a late bid is a lost bid for both of us.

How does snow billing work?+

Either a seasonal fixed price or per-event, and we'll show you both. Per-event includes the trigger depth and what counts as an event; seasonal is predictable but you pay in a mild winter. Your call.

Can you handle multiple properties?+

Yes, and that's where we're strongest — one contract, one account manager, one invoice, with per-site service logs. What we won't do is take a portfolio spread so wide we can't service it well.

Do you work with homeowners?+

A limited number, inside our commercial routes. It keeps the crews efficient and means your property doesn't get whatever's left at the end of the day.

Get the bid moving before your next board meeting.
